The Phantasma Trio will be filling in as house band for the July 14th Jazz Jam at World Cafe Live
Phantasma Triofeatures the lush, glimmering compositions of bassist and leader Chris Coyle, the layered drums and electronics of Doug Hirlinger, and brilliantly mysterious piano work from Ron Stabinsky. This music (at times avant-jazz, chamber, and cinematic) has hints of darkness, of humor, and of mystery. It has the feeling of drifting emotions, of phasing in and out of musical styles and approaches, and of being beautifully out of place. Look out for the debut recording “Phantasma Trio Vol. 1” on Passerine Records.
