Serve on a Jazz Philadelphia Working Group
Jazz Philadelphia’s “Working Groups” are volunteer committees. They help us plan programming, raise funds, promote the organization and its programs, and serve as ambassadors within the community. While many of our working groups are currently full, we are always considering new ways to engage with our community, and we encourage you to introduce yourself so we can find creative ways to get you involved.

Our thriving jazz scene, made up of clubs, artists, entrepreneurs, and advocates, are all working together as a creative force for this creative music in one of the nation’s most historic jazz cities. Jazz Philadelphia illuminates and amplifies our scene through its community news program. Submit a tip here for us to consider assigning a writer to the story, and also use this form if you’d like to be considered to write a first-person account.

Nominate a Hometown Hero
Jazz Philadelphia believes in supporting its hometeam. Our Hometown Heroes program is a media partnership with WRTI. We select artists who have been shaped by Philadelphia as a city, who are giving back by organizing and producing programs within the community, and who serve as ambassadors for Philly jazz all around the world. Tell us who your Hometown Hero is, and they’ll be considered for coverage.

Volunteer with the Summit
Our annual signature event is a homecoming and thought leadership summit where the entire community as well national voices and partners come together to learn, make career connections, and celebrate Philadelphia music. Volunteers help us manage participants, speakers, and pre-event promotion, so let us know if you’d like to join us in ensuring our summit is a must-attend event year after year.
