Sun Ra: A Joyful Noise Film & Director Q&A At Moorestown Library

This is the first episode in a series titled “Jazz Journey with Greg” where jazz documentary films will be shown along with Q&A sessions following the film.

Sun Ra’s influence on the world of avant garde jazz will be explored through the presentation of the 60-minute PBS American Masters jazz documentary film by Robert Mugge – “Sun Ra: A Joyful Noise”.  Bob Mugge will present via Zoom an introduction to the film and join series moderator Greg Drusdow in discussing Sun Ra experiences and stories that the audience will no doubt find of interest.  Be prepared for an experience that will take you beyond this world with the music and philosophy of Sun Ra.
