DESCRIPTION:Trombonist Hailey Brinnel brings her voice and her instrument to Fellowship Hall.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nJazz Bridge President and vocalist\, Rhenda Fearrington proudly hosts “Jazz @ Fellowship Hall” Third Wednesdays Concert Series at Ridge Avenue Methodist Church\, 7811 Ridge Avenue\, Phila.\, PA 19128. \nPlease join us on December 15 as we welcome trombonist/vocalist Hailey Brinnel to Fellowship Hall. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. \nTickets: $20 at the door\, $15 online in advance at Eventbrite. Students admission is $5 with ID and children under 12 years old get in for free! But you must register at Eventbrite. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. PROOF OF VACCINATION IS REQUIRED. \nThis venue has limited seating capacity\, so buy your ticket in advance and early to avoid a sell-out. \nHailey Brinnel is a trombonist\, vocalist\, and educator based in Philadelphia. At the age of 12 she began performing throughout New England with her father Dave Brinnel. Now in her 20’s\, Brinnel has performed at prestigious venues around the world\, having played with artists such as Sherrie Maricle and the DIVA Jazz Orchestra\, Ingrid Jensen\, Anat Cohen\, and Pell. As part of the Temple University Jazz Band led by Terell Stafford\, she has played and recorded alongside many of today’s top jazz artists\, including Ken Peplowski\, Jimmy Heath\, Ann Hampton Callaway\, Jon Faddis\, Luis Bonilla\, Wycliffe Gordon\, René Marie and Dick Oatts. In addition\, she shared the stage with Maurice Hines and The DIVA Jazz Orchestra as part of the national tour of the Hines’ off-Broadway production “Tappin’ Thru Life.” Hailey was a finalist in the 2021 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. \nAs an educator\, Brinnel has worked in a variety of settings spanning early childhood\, elementary general\, secondary instrumental and vocal\, private lessons\, master classes\, as well as collegiate-level education courses. She is currently on faculty at The University of the Arts\, The Kimmel Center\, and works as a guest clinician to bring jazz education to classrooms throughout the city.
